Dr. Flores holds a doctorate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Ph.D., 1993 in Molecular Immunology and earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin, B.S., 1988 – B.S. Training Prior to forming Chalker Flores, LLP, Dr. Flores practiced with the intellectual property group of Gardere Wynne Sewell, LLP and Warren & Perez. Gardere acquired the practice in 1998. Dr. Flores led the biotechnology patent prosecution group at both firms.

Dr. Flores is a member of the Advisory Council to the National Institute of General Medical Sciences of the National Institutes of Health.
